• 520 Bridge Storm Water Runoff Report
  The Highway 520 Bridge Storm Water Runoff Study is a data collection effort that is part of the Sammamish-Washington Analysis and Modeling Program (SWAMP). SWAMP is a water quality and quantity monitoring and modeling project that was initiated in 2000 to support a variety of potential water resource decisions for the majority of the Greater Lake Washington watershed.

• Juanita Creek Inventory and Habitat Assessment
  In August of 2000, habitat on Juanita Creek was assessed using methods derived from standard assessment protocols. The goals of the habitat assessment project for Juanita Creek were threefold: (1) characterize instream and riparian habitat quality– primarily for salmonids; (2) establish a baseline for future evaluation of trends in habitat quality and watershed function; and (3) provide information for process of prioritizing areas for restoration and preservation.

• North Lake Washington Streams Report
  As part of its mission to protect and restore water quality, the Water and Lands Resources Division studied water quality trends and conditions in Lake Washington from 1990 to 2001.

  The objective of this study was to develop time series models describing stream water phosphorus concentration dependence on seasonal variations in stream baseflow, short term flow fluctuations, antecedent flow conditions, and rainfall.

  This report summarizes information from a recreational use survey of Lakes Washington, Union and Sammamish. Data are statistically analyzed by age group, gender, ethnicity, activities, and other factors.
  
  
• Sammamish River Corridor Action Plan
  The plan focuses on the Sammamish River's role as a necessary migratory corridor for anadromous salmon in the Sammamish Watershed. Implementation of the plan, however, would benefit more than just salmon and a wide range of other wildlife; it would also enhance the river corridor's ability to serve as a place of pleasure and refuge for the surrounding human community.
  
  
• Sammamish River Diel pH and Dissolved Oxygen Study
  The Sammamish River has recently been the focus of a number of water quality studies, primarily due to the use of the river by Endangered Species Act (ESA) listed species of salmon. A review of Sammamish River monitoring data has also led the Washington State Department of Ecology to identify water quality problems related to elevated levels of fecal coliform bacteria, temperature, and pH and reduced levels of dissolved oxygen in the river (Washington State Department of Ecology 2000 303(d) list of impaired waters).
  
  
• Sammamish River Water and Sediment Quality Assessment
  The objectives of the project were to provide an assessment of the current water and sediment quality conditions in the river, and to begin a database of analytical results for Sammamish River that would be useful for multiple King County projects (e.g., ESA-listed salmon, water reuse).
